Pat and Linda Mitchell

Owners of Shamrock Acres

After moving to Shamrock Acres in May of 1987 with their then 3 young boys, Pat and Linda decided they needed more than just a few horses for their family. Soon after the move, they started looking into the Dexter Cattle and found a bull calf. The rest is history. The Mitchell family have been members of the American Dexter Cattle Association since the fall of 1987. Over the years, they have since grown the herd with their daughter Emily and oldest son Andy.

However, it's not just Dexters on the farm. Katahdin Hair Sheep,as well as ADGA registered Oberhasli and Toggenburg dairy goats can also be found in the pastures of the west Michigan farm.

Pat and Linda have 4 kids: Andrew, Michael, Benjamin, and Emily. All 4 are married with children and live within 10 minutes of home. They are Nana and Papa to 8 grandkids.
