Dexter Freezer Beef

We strive to provide quality beef from our family to yours. We've had the privilege to provide Dexter beef for our family for nearly 30 years, and we would love to do the same for yours.

 

Currently we are able to sell beef by the whole, half, or quarter. All of our beef is harvested at a USDA inspected facility.

 

How does the process work?

  • Pricing: We sell the beef on the hot hanging weight meaning the weight of the carcass after harvest. If you get a half, you pay for half meaning you pay for your specific portion. Our current beef price is $3.75/lb by the hanging weight. That price is for the beef itself and then you would pay the processing fees for your portion. 

  • Don't know how to cut it? No worries. Each processor will walk you through the cutting list step by step and ask you anything from how large you'd like your roasts to be to how many steaks in a package. They can also make recommendations to you as well if you aren't sure what you would like to do.

  • What do you get? Everything. As funny as that sounds you can nearly get everything from nose to tail. Steaks, roasts, and ground beef are the highlights, but you can also get things like brisket, short ribs, oxtail, beef suet, or organ meats.

  • Who can cut my beef?

    • Right now we are exclusively using Caledonia Packing. Processing facilities are still booking out months ahead of time. They cut all of our retail meats and do a great job!

  • Payment​

    • We do ​currently require a $100 non-refundable deposit on all beef purchases.
